Mixed Kebab

Welcome to the world of Afghan flavours, where the smell of kebabs fills the air!

For those who like to have both lamb and chicken in their food, we are excited to introduce a special kebab dish – the Mixed Kebab. In Mixed Kebab, one skewer of Joojeh Kebab, and one skewer of Kebab Koobideh are served together. Mixed Kebab is usually served with rice, and some fresh greens on the side. We have added this food to our menu for those who savour the goodness of both lamb and chicken in a single dish. It is a good choice where you can have different kebabs with different flavours together on one plate and enjoy their taste.

Mixed Kebab has the goodness and taste of two kebabs in one meal:

Kebab Koobideh: It is one of the most traditional and popular Iranian Lamb Kebab which is served everywhere in the country either in a restaurant or in a festive session or gathering. Kebab Koobideh is made from lamb meat, skewed, and finally cooked over charcoal. You can read more about Kebab Koobideh on our website.

Joojeh Kebab: It is another popular and delicious Iranian Chicken Kebab that is prepared and served in gatherings, restaurants, and homes. The chicken is marinated in a special sauce made from onions, saffron and other ingredients, and then it is skewered and cooked over charcoal. Joojeh Kebab can be served with either rice or bread, however, we only have the option with rice in our restaurant. Feel free to read more about Joojeh Kebab on our website.

But Mixed Kebab is not just about the kebabs. It is the artful assembly on the plate that adds to the beauty. Picture the golden-brown chicken, and the flavourful Kebab Koobideh in one plate that each offers a distinct texture and taste. Together, they create a culinary combination that can elevate your dining experience beyond the ordinary.

More about Mixed Kebab

A point about Mixed Kebab at Rumi Palace is that all two kebabs, Koobideh and Joojeh, have a low level of spices and chilli taste allowing you to taste the meat rather than spices. This commonality makes these two kebabs a good combination in a dish served with rice and some vegetables on the side.

Do not forget to try our Mixed Kebab a try where you can enjoy the state of lamb and chicken prepared in two different ways but put together in one dish.
